The above photo was taken just as soon as I arrived. The rain came and went all day but it didn’t ruin my experience.
The photo pit for stages 4A/4B. I came prepared with gumboots BUT, my gumboots hurt my feet they are soo uncomfortable, so I decided my half torn converse shoes will just do.
With the rain coming and going all day the mud was ankle deep, that didn’t stop me getting in the pit and taking photos of bands.
With an EPIC line up there were acts I just couldn’t see/shoot. I was mainly shooting at the main stages and stages 4A/4B, I did ventured over to stages 6A/6B to shoot Kittie and Hatebreed. I caught the end of In This Moment’s set. I remembered the rain, circle pit, me trying to take a photo of the circle pit, rain stopping, me taking one decent photo of Maria (the singer) and the crowd. If it wasn’t for the rain I would have taken out the wide angle lens and captured the whole excitment/madness/ awesomeness of things.
