This gig was just AWESOME, words can’t describe how awesome the night was. The support acts were also awesome, Scul Hazzards, Butcher Birds and The Seizures.
I some how survived the crazy, madness at the front of the stage with the punters. Shooting wasn’t easy, I come home with a bruise or two on my leg and my knees and legs were sore and aching from that crazy night. Never seen crowd surfing at the Zoo before (from memory).

Shooting the band from side of stage was an awesome experience, to see the crowd chaos in front of them and the band members doing what they do, awesome!
The crowd chaos above, I survived that with my camera, amazing I walked away from that with a few decent photos. I did have some sort of a mini attack in that pit, got over it by focusing on taking photos which was kinda hard. I felt like I was 16 again.

hey – nice shots. i got some similar ones side stage at the annandale the night before. i’m just wondering what camera, lens and settings you’re using as i’m trying to improve the quality of my shots with my limited experience. my flickr stream is tenzenmen though it’s a limited account, everything else is on my facebook (not sure if the photos are visible to all or not)

I was using Canon 40D and the 17-50mm lens. I mostly shot TV that night. I varied the ISO between 800-1600. Shooting between 1/60 – 1/200. Very challenging with the lights and down the front of the stage it was crazy.
