I’ve been listening to Tegan and Sara for many, many years, so when Heartthrob came out it felt like a massive hit in the ears. At first I felt alienated by the whole listening experience I couldn’t really connect with any of the songs, the vocals, production, lyrics was different and foreign (I miss the metaphors in Sara’s lyrics) it put me off. Reading reviews leading up/after it’s released there were mixed response they either loved the album or dislike it.

Three years ago my friend Stephen told me about Emilie Autumn, three years ago I saw her play at The Zoo (I also took phots from that show), the following year she played Harvest festival (I was there and also took some photos. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch her full set because I was shooting the festival). Last Thursday marks the third time I have seen her live and it was awesome.
